Ronan Engineering Company, a privately held corporation, started business in May 1959 as Ronan Panel Company located on Orion Avenue in Van Nuys in a 2200 sq. ft. building. The main goal of the company was to manufacture instrument control panels for the petroleum, cement plant and power station business. Some of Ronan’s more significant accomplishments at this facility were to produce:
- Control Panels for the main utilities installed in the Los Angeles Airport.
- All of the control panels to monitor the air-condition system installed in the Los Angeles Museum.
- The main control panels to monitor the air-condition system installed in the Universal Movie facilities.
- Provide one of the first attempted paid TV venture systems.
- Prototype our first product, the X1D3 tricolor indicator.
